The Fourth Trimester

I am in the midst of the fourth trimester.  I wish I had understood this concept earlier with my first baby.  It is the idea that there is another three months of gestating after we give birth. I really think the fourth trimester gets overlooked because we focus so much on getting to […]

Empowering Mary: A Paradigm Shift on the Nativity Story

We received this post from Carol Vezzani who contributed to our book the beautiful essay “My Angel in Gethsemane” in our Atonement chapter.  Carol also blogs at   http://anunsuccessfulblog.blogspot.com.  I enjoyed this post because I love the idea of Mary being proactive and empowered about her birth.  Enjoy! –Robyn Empowering Mary: A Paradigm Shift on

Jesus, Once of Humble Birth

With Christmas approaching I have been pondering the concept of “humble birth.”  We speak of Christ’s birth as being under humble circumstances. Channing’s Milk-Sharing Story

For both donor and recipient, an exchange of freely given breast milk is about so much more than filling bellies. It is about finding healing and bringing peace to the hearts that long for love, and that is a treasure that cannot be measured in ounces.

A Gift for an Angel

December is special to me for many reasons.  Not only do I get to celebrate Christ’s birth, I get to celebrate my firstborn son’s birthday.  Kyle only spent two birthdays on earth with us before he died  but we still celebrate his birth every year.  If you have read “Birth in Remembrance of Him” in the
