A little over a year ago Heavenly Father sent me a special friend, Cali. She blogs with her sisters at Bits of Everything. Cali is super talented and I can tell her sisters are too. Their blog has a lot of great ideas for just about everything. Cali agreed to review our book. I love that she could find support and comfort in this book through the change in direction that her birth took,
I found this book to be a great comfort and hope while I prepared for a natural, unmedicated birth. It deepened my testimony of women’s divine purposes, and my power as a woman. The amazing part for me, happened when I didn’t get the birth I wanted.. I found myself back into this book again, and it morphed into what I needed it to be then, too.One of my favorite parts since having Graham has been part of a birth story someone shared in which she said, “It’s up to us to recognize the miracle in each birth–the sweetness and the tender mercies that are still there for us, no matter how our babies come into the world, and especially when they come in a way we may not have originally planned.”This book fills a missing piece for woman as they prepare to give birth. It’s a spiritual journey, and this book is a beautiful companion to that spiritual awakening. It is largely for an LDS audience, but I’m confident that women of all faiths would find it enlightening and helpful.
