Prize #1

This wrap-style baby carrier with a beautiful tree-panel was created by our very own Lani Axman from both new and upcycled fabrics. It is based on a stretchy-wrap design. Your baby is cradle in soft cream-colored stretchy fabric and kept extra secure with a sturdy non-stretchy panel wrapped on the outer layer.

Wrap-style baby carriers are very comfortable and versatile and not as difficult to tie as they look. Stretchy wraps are best for infants age 0-8 months or so. For older infants and toddlers, you’ll probably want a non-stretchy or more structured baby carrier.

Prize #2

This “Blood-Water-Spirit” adjustable charm bracelet (also created by Lani Axman) would be an ideal gift for a daughter’s menarche, a friend preparing for childbirth, a mother celebrating an adoption, etc. The bracelet contains three charms: love, trust, and a firefly. You can interpret these however you’d like, but Lani chose the firefly because of these words from a favorite song titled “Firefly” by Dan Zanes:

You say it’s in this heart of mine
Everything I need to shine
It’s love alone that makes this light
And gives us wings and takes us through the night

The bracelet also contains three “blood-water-spirit” beads. They are clear (water) with a swirl of red (blood) and white glow-in-the-dark flecks (spirit). These beads are a reminder of the sacred nature of our bodies and giving life (see Moses 6:58).

Prize #3

Brooke Roundy Photography has donated a free mini-maternity photo session with seven digital images! You can view more of Brooke’s work at her website HERE. If you (or a pregnant mother you love) reside in Utah, this prize would be a great way to honor the beauty of the body that is creating a precious new body for one of God’s children. 2014-04-07 02.33.40 pm

Prize #4

il_570xN.587104668_bn0zAnother Virtual Book Tour participant, Kylie of The Sister Tree, has also donated a gorgeous tree of life pendant. This creation is made with white quartz crystal beads and “a lot of love.”  From Kylie’s etsy shop description:

I hand craft these beautiful Tree of Life necklaces as a reminder of the strength and beauty within all women, who contain their own tree of life, as well as a reminder of the love and power of the Creator of all that is. They make wonderful gifts for blessingways, birth necklaces, or women and mothers at any stage of life.

Prize #5

2014-04-24 09.56.04 amFor our final prize, we are offering three lucky winners “early-birth access” to our soon-to-be-born (and not yet named) online Gift of Giving Life webinar series. While the majority of childbirth classes concentrate on physical and/or mental preparation, our online classes will focus on spiritual preparation. The classes will work hand-in-hand with the book itself, but they will also provide you with information, tips, and resources the book does not provide. We hope women choose to access the classes early in their pregnancy or even before they are actually pregnant. We also hope to add classes for women in other stages of life including coming of age and advancing past the childbearing cycle. You can enter to win one of these free “early-birth” slots in our online classes by purchasing The Gift of Giving Life during our Virtual Book Tour. Get 20% off from now until Mother’s Day when you order from Amazon!  If you are selected as a winner, you will be given access to our first webinar modules as soon as they become available!

The Gift of Giving Life is available for purchase from and many LDS bookstores. If your local store does not carry the book, be sure to let them know you’d like them to carry it!

I am SO excited to read this book. I teach natural childbirth classes and am eager to read these stories and connect with other women and their experiences giving birth from a more spiritual perspective. I have given birth naturally twice, once at a birth center and once at home. Both were incredible, empowering experiences for myself and my husband!
