It has been almost 4 months and we have sold almost 700 books. It looks like thanks to the hard work of Felice and Heather our book will be in LDS bookstores soon.
We wanted to offer a bonus to those who buy The Gift of Giving Life directly from our e-store by clicking here.
What are the gifts?
So if you buy from this link you will get 2 free gifts.
- The Top Three Tips to Enjoy Your Birth a 30 page e-book written by Sheridan
- I am Happy, I am Good Affirmations for Kids MP3 created by Felice
How do I get the gifts?
All you have to do is e-mail your receipt to [email protected] and she will send a link to your 2 free gifts. It is not automated, so it may take a day or two after you send your receipt.
Why are we doing this?
We make twice as much money for the books people buy through us compared to Amazon and probably about 4 times as much as when they buy through a bookstore. The cost to you is about the same, so we are encouraging people to buy through our link.
We are not in this to make money, but want to make enough money to pay back what we have invested and then have funds to reinvest into our company and make something else, like maybe a Spiritual Childbirth Class. Or whatever else is wanted!
A birthing class would be awesome! I love this book and I bought it from you threw LDS holistic conference! I hope that helped you out! And I’m planing on buying more for gifts so this link is great!
We have gotten quite a few requests for a birthing class, so I think it is on the top of our list.
Yes, buying from us at different events is good. 🙂
A birthing class would be awesome. I was thinking recently that a musical CD with songs inspired by the book would be lovely (similar to the Women of Destiny CD inspired by the Relief Society Declaration). I realize that would take a lot of work. But I’m pregnant again and a few months ago when I was in the throes of morning sickness, I was thinking how great it would be to have some uplifting songs to help me get through it!
I have clicked on two links that said “buy it here” and came back to the same place with no amount listed. You may want to adjust your site to make it even easier to purchase your book.
I was very blessed as a midwife to have served many many LDS families as they gave birth. I have also trained two LDS women as midwives.
This LDS community is a very very important group to reach. The community dictates attitudes towards being a mother and towards giving birth. Stepping onto the current Obstetric treadmill causes one out of three mothers to a surgical extraction of their babies generally “dictating” a return to surgical deliveries for subsequent babies. Each rung of that ladder descends further and further to risks of adherent placentae, placental previa and abruption, and uterine rupture with or without labor. Many physicians then recommend limiting the number of children a family has. This especially impacts the family and religious life of the LDS community.
Anyway. My life’s passion. Let me know if I can help. Linda Bennett, VBACtivist, retired midwife, Lyons, Oregon
Thanks for the heads up!!!
Thanks also for the dedication you have for pregnant women!
